The Dutch TT Grand Prix also regarded as the TT Assen is the oldest and the most prestigious motorcycle race that is held annually at the challenging TT Circuit Assen nestled in the beautiful Netherlands. Held for the first time on July 11th, 1925, the drivers raced on a 28.4 km long triangular circuit formed between Rolde, Boger, and Schoonloo. The Grand Prix became a part of the MotoGP championship in 1949 and has since then become a permanent fixture.

The TT Circuit Assen also known as the Cathedral of Speed is a 4.542 km long racetrack that is lauded for its rich and iconic history. Found nestled in Assen, Netherlands, the TT Circuit is a favorite among drivers as well as spectators due to its fast and flowing layout. History of TT Circuit Assen

The TT Circuit Assen was first formed by the road triangle between Rolde, Borger, and Schoonhoo, however was later moved to its current location, Assen. The new circuit, constructed in 1955 on Assen territory, was a 7.7 km racetrack designed by the Dutch Motorcycle Association. In 2010, the circuit was shortened to its current length, 4.542 km, and in 2017 modifications were made in order to improve the spectator facilities. Over the years, the TT Circuit Assen has hosted several memorable races and due to its electric and vibrant atmosphere, continues to be a favorite among riders and spectators.

Stretching to 4.542 km and featuring 18 turns, the circuit is known for its subtle elevation changes that add an extra dose of challenge for the drivers, and its high-grip surface that accommodates close and high-speed racing. Throughout the circuit, the drivers are met with a mix of tight corners, and fast, flowing sections. Among its sections, the ones that stand out are the Strubben hairpin, the Geert Timmer Bocht chicane, and the Ramshoek high-speed corner.
