The Aragon Motorcycle Grand Prix is a prominent event in the MotoGP championship that is held at the auspicious Motorland Aragon circuit, located in Alcaniz, Spain. The Grand Prix is a fairly new one, introduced in the year 2010. Initially, the race was supposed to serve as a replacement for the canceled Hungarian Grand Prix, however soon it became a permanent fixture in the MotoGP calendar. The most successful rider in the Grand Prix has been Marc Marques, who claimed victory over the Motorland Aragon circuit 7 times.

The Motorland Aragon circuit located in Alcaniz, Spain is a challenging and modern track that debuted in 2010, and since then become a permanent fixture in the MotoGP calendar. Designed by the famous German circuit designer and architect Hermann Tilke, the circuit offers a fascinating blend of tough corners, tight turns, and fast straights. These traits of the circuit make it a favorite among spectators and drivers alike.
History of the Motorland Aragon, Alcaniz
The Motorland Aragon is steeped in rich history, rooted in the motor racing passion of its hometown, Alcaniz. Its origins trace back all the years to 1965, when the Guadalupe Urban Racetrack, a street track hosted a race in Alcaniz. Soon the urban circuit became quite famous, helping Alcaniz establish itself as a motor racing hub. Urban racing however was laced with safety concerns, and so the idea of making a designated motorsports complex was proposed in the 1990s. Thanks to the local community and the prestige that the Guadalupe Urban Racetrack has established, the idea gained traction, and the construction of Motorland Aragon Circuit began in 2006. Supervised under the keen eye of Hermann Tilke, its designer, the Motorland Aragon Circuit finished construction in 2009, and in 2010, it hosted its first MotoGP race.
Motorland Aragon Circuit Topography
Located in Alcaniz, the Motorland Aragon Circuit features a dynamic topography that adds equal doses of challenge and excitement. Stretching to 5.078 km, the circuit is lined with 16 corners and has a significant elevation change of about 50 meters. The Motorland Aragon Circuit is also home to a long straight, about 1,211 meters that allows for high-speed racing.
